Privacy

No account is needed. Journal entries and private recipe notes stay in your browser and are not uploaded to Athlete Performance Press. Backups are files you control. Our hosting provider receives ordinary connection information when serving the website. Opening a reference link takes you to that provider’s website.

Recipe usage statistics

When recipe statistics are enabled, we count recipe visits, return visits and clicks on the Print recipe button. A random identifier saved in your browser helps distinguish repeat visits. We store a protected version of that identifier separately for each recipe, so the labels cannot be joined into a browsing history across recipes. These are browser counts, not counts of people or meals cooked.

Only the publisher can view these statistics, including counts for each recipe and its browser labels. The statistics contain no names, email addresses, IP addresses, fingerprints, journal entries or recipe notes. They are separate from ratings. Recipe counts are kept over time to compare usage; clearing browser data resets your browser identifier but does not delete counts already recorded.

You can exclude this browser from future recipe statistics below. We also respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Statistics need JavaScript, browser storage and a connection; unavailable or blocked requests are not retried later.

Your journal belongs to you

Notes, competitions and cues are saved only in this browser, on this device, at this website address. They do not automatically sync. Clearing browser data, using private browsing or losing your device can remove your entries. Keep a JSON backup; restore it through Your Data when moving to another browser, device or website address.

Private recipe notes

My Recipe Notes saves your writing in this browser. Wait for the saved confirmation before leaving; unsaved writing can be lost. Private browsing, clearing browser data, storage limits or losing your device can remove notes. They are not sent with ratings, shared with the publisher or included in printing.

Prepare a recipe-data JSON backup from any recipe page to preserve saved notes and any personal variations, including the recipe versions they use. Readable text exports are for reading, not restoring. Journal and recipe backups are separate. Check that your backup downloaded successfully.

Moving to a different website address? Download your JSON backups at the old address, then restore them at the new address. Nothing transfers automatically. If imported notes conflict with saved notes, you choose which to keep. Recipe notes work offline only when the recipe page is already available; recipe pages are not automatically saved for offline use.

Recipe ratings

Where ratings are available, viewing rating summaries or opening the rating panel contacts our ratings service. Voting sends your star rating, whether you prepared the recipe as written or with adjustments, an optional predefined reason, and a random browser identifier that lets you update your vote. The service stores a protected form of that identifier. No written reviews, personal notes or journal entries are sent.

You can keep one current rating per recipe in each browser; updating it replaces your previous rating. Ratings may include earlier recipe versions. Clearing browser data removes your ability to edit an existing rating but does not delete that rating. Ratings do not automatically expire or transfer between devices or website addresses. Public scores appear only after enough ratings have been received; publisher reports contain aggregates only.

Team & Club Orders

The optional Books-page inquiry form asks for your organization or team, adult contact name, email, estimated quantity, delivery ZIP code and an optional message. Do not include student or wrestler personal information. Submitting sends these details to our team-pricing inbox so we can respond. It does not place an order or subscribe you to a mailing list.

We do not save inquiries in your journal, recipe notes, a customer database, public logs or analytics. Our email service and recipient mailbox process and retain inquiries for email delivery and correspondence. A submission confirmation means the email service accepted the request; it does not guarantee inbox receipt, an order or a delivery date.

Free resources

Free resources do not require an email address. No third-party embeds, supplements or paid plans. Recipes and guides can be read without JavaScript. The journal companion and private recipe notes need JavaScript and browser storage.
