The press

About

Athlete Performance Press makes practical, evidence-informed resources for training, nutrition, recovery and athletic development available to athletes, parents and coaches—free, and without unnecessary expense or complexity.

Who we are

Athlete Cookbook is written by Steve Tyler and published by Athlete Performance Press. The recipes and guides on this website come from the cookbook’s source material.

How we prepare recipes and guides

We include sources so you can read more about the guidance and how recipe estimates are made.

  • Nutrition method: values are estimates based on ingredient quantities and USDA FoodData Central records, not laboratory analysis of a prepared meal.
  • Allergen guidance: ingredient flags, substitutions and advice on checking labels and cross-contact.
  • Sources: references used in the recipes and guides.

Food images are AI-generated illustrations. See the recipe catalog.

Not all recipes have been kitchen tested. Prep and cook times are estimates.

Independent clinical or dietetic review has not been completed.
